Where are you living?
Tel Aviv, Old North.

How old you are? (if you don’t mind answering)

What inspires you?
White shirts, Vasyl Lomachenko, fast books, Naples, crisp linen, Robert Seethaler, garlic, soft skin,
Chopin, Alter Fischereihafen Cuxhaven, crossfit and Lucian Maftei. But honestly,
William Faulkner said: “I only write when inspiration strikes. Fortunately it strikes at nine every morning.” I stick with that.

Tell me about what you do?
I am a reporter at Der Spiegel and I write novels for a German start-up called Hanser.

What’s the structure of a typical day like for you?
Get up at 6.50, drink kalita filtered coffee, go to the box, write, eat, sleep at 10.

What are some of your favourite source for information?
Der Spiegel. Try it. It’s what we call a Geheimtipp.

How social media influence your life?
It mostly makes me want to buy stuff. Currently very hooked on a pair of grey sneakers.
Almost bought them today before I realized if there is one thing I don’t need, it’s sneakers.
